The jewel in the crown of the TJS Custom Guitar range is the Falcon hollow-body arch-top guitar. The latest double-cutaway model had a beautiful Flamed-Cherry top, African Mahogany sides and Indian Rosewood Fretboard and scratch plate, inlayed with a custom Falcon logo. The 25.5” scale neck is a three-piece laminate construction from Flamed Maple and a traditional 3 per side angled headstock. The front and back plates are carved from solid wood and for added sustain and feedback resistance, are joined by a small Mahogany centre block. 

A set of gold Gretsch Black-top Filtertron pickups provide that iconic “chimey” tone that cuts through any band mix when played clean or overdriven. This model is fitted with a useful addition, namely the LR Baggs T-Bridge Piezo system providing simulated acoustic tones which can also be blended into the magnetic pickups or vice-versa. A convenient access cover is magnetically mounted at the back for easy access to the internal electronics, allowing easy battery replacement for the piezo preamp.

A variety of arch-top models have been built in addition to the Falcon double-cutaway, such as the Falcon single-cutaway and Dove offset model, and each is a unique labour of love, built to the unique requirements of each customer.
